I began my career in Corporate America knowing two things: I wanted to succeed, and I wanted to help people. That desire to support others didn’t start in the workplace—it started in my teenage years, when friends regularly came to me for advice, clarity, and perspective. Even then, I had a natural ability to listen deeply, understand emotions, and help people navigate challenges.
As my corporate career progressed, I rose through increasingly complex and high-pressure environments. I delivered results, led teams, and learned how to navigate the unspoken rules of leadership. But what stood out most wasn’t the titles or accomplishments—it was the people.
I witnessed talented professionals struggle with confidence, new leaders unsure how to manage others, and high performers burning out because no one had taught them how to lead with emotional intelligence. Technical skills were abundant; emotional mastery was not.
That realization changed everything.
